Property Investment Advice Place #1: The Web
The web is one of the best places you can go for property investment advice because you can get such a diverse range of investment advice from people who are actually investing in property.
The internet is great because it brings together people from all of the country and all over the world. You can easily find people who are actually investing in property and talking about their investments.
One of the best ways of learning is by learning from other people’s experiences. I advise checking out different real estate investment blogs such as cashflowinvestor.com.au/blog (this one) or everydaypropertyinvesting.com.au. I also recommend visiting forums and chatting to other investors in the forums. There’s a great forum at propertyinvesting.com.
I recommend listening to podcasts. You can do that while you’re driving, you can do that on the train, you can do that at the gym. I also recommend getting on Youtube and watching some investment videos.

Place #2: Property Investment Seminars
Seminars are a great way to learn about property investing strategies. There’s free seminars and paid seminars and they can both be a great resource for investment advice.
The advice is going to be of more general nature and not specific to your financial situation, but it will give you the strategies that you need to get to where you want to go.
At seminars, professional investors will share with you their strategies on how to invest and how to invest well.
A note on free seminars – they will almost always try and pitch you for an expensive paid seminar at the end of it so just be careful. Go there try and extract as much information as possible and be very careful about getting sucked in to the paid seminars.
Paid seminars can be excellent excellent resources but just make sure that they’re 100% in line with your investment strategy and your financial goals
Place #3: Real Estate Books
I love getting property investment advice from books because it is such it cheap source of information.
You can get a book for $30 which contains the content of a seminar that might cost you $5,000.
I’m in love with books because it was a property investment book 0-130 Properties in 3.5 Years that actually got me interested in positive cash flow property and change my life forever.
Go to a bookstore grab a book and choose a book where the author is an investor
Place #4: Successful Property Investors
I strongly believe this is the best place to get advice. These are people who are doing it! These are people who are on the ground level making money from property right now.
By tagging up with proven investors and getting them as a mentor you’re going to get great insights that you wouldn’t be able to get from anywhere else.

You may notice that I haven’t included things like friends, family, accountants, mortgage brokers or even financial planners they’re the 5 places I recommend you don’t go for property investment advice but that’s a completely other blog post.
